The intro to MongoDB talk will go through everything you need to know to start building your first application with MongoDB!
It will go through the basics of schema design, sharding and replication and demonstrate the differences with MongoDB and RDBMS. No experience with MongoDB is required!
About the Presenter
Mike O’Brien is an engineer at 10gen working on the hadoop connector for MongoDB and contributes to the Node.js and Python driver tools. Prior to 10gen, Mike worked on the API team at Meetup.He is a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
