Our next NJETS Meetup takes a look at the principles used to inform design decisions at Etsy and the sometimes surprising outcomes they generate. These principles are applicable not only to web product design but any design process where you want to learn from your audience and embrace change. As always we will be stocked with free food, beer and wine!
This is our new makeup date for November’s Meetup, which had been postponed.
About New Jersey Entrepreneurs and Tech Startups (NJETS)
Established in September 2012 and currently at 1,200 members, we are one of New Jersey’s fastest growing entrepreneurial networks. From designers, to developers, to marketers, we see around 100 people of very diverse backgrounds attend each Meetup. Each Meetup give attendees the opportunity to network, eat/drink together, broadcast their needs, and listen to a keynote speaker whose background is in the startup and technology scene.
About Randy Hunt
He is the Creative Director at Etsy, where he leads a team of designers creating the end-to-end experience, both online and off. Hunt feels strongly that designers must be able to build what they design, a perspective that fits naturally with Etsy’s culture of making and the love of craftsmanship. Hunt co-founded Supermarket, a curated design marketplace. Previously, he founded Citizen Scholar Inc. and worked at Milton Glaser Inc. and Number 17.
Price: $5 for non-JuiceTank members —-> As always, our Meetup is free for all JuiceTank Community Members
